Noel Vest, PhD, is an Assistant Professor at the Boston University School of Public Health. His research interests include mental health, substance use disorders, and addiction recovery. As a formerly incarcerated scholar and a person in long-term recovery, Dr. Vest is an advocate for social justice issues and public policy concerning substance use disorder recovery and prison reentry. He completed his PhD in Experimental Psychology from Washington State University and did his postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford University.
