All individuals who have graduated from the Data Science major at UC San Diego are strongly encouraged to join this group, where HDSI Career Services will post opportunities and announcements relevant to our community. It’s also a place to share relevant information and connect with your data science peers from all graduating classes!
Alumni Spotlight & Networking Mixers
Events are regularly offered for HDSI alumni to connect with each other and current students. The majority of these events will be in-person, but we also offer some virtual events to provide opportunities for alumni who are outside of the San Diego area. All events will be published on 12twenty and alumni must register through the platform.

At this time, HDSI does not offer 1:1 career advising for alumni. If you’re interested in meeting with a career advisor, please make an appointment with the UCSD Career Center.

HDSI ALUMNI OF THE YEAR
The HDSI Alumni of the Year awards recognize outstanding achievements and contributions of former students and their continued commitment to the Halıcıoğlu Data Science Institute community of students, faculty, staff and alumni. These awards vary in recognition and criteria for nomination and selection include alumni who have provided guidance and advice to current students, fostered community engagement, assisting with professional development activities and have been an inspiration to their peers. THE HDSI ALUMNI FUND
The Halıcıoğlu Data Science Institute Alumni Fund supports the highest priorities of the department. Support of the fund includes empowering student excellence through alumni-led workshops, seminars, and career development opportunities, fostering an alumni community & network and bridging pathways for alumni & current students to connect with employers.
