The Halıcıoğlu Data Science Institute is currently accepting recommendations for its Visiting Scholar program.
Nominations are open for faculty and researchers from any institution to serve in residence at HSDI on the UC San Diego campus. The Halıcıoğlu Data Science Institute (HDSI) brings an interdisciplinary approach to harnessing the power of data science across subject areas. Its Visiting Scholar program follows the same boundary-breaking mission, and is open to all scholars from all disciplines utilizing a data science component.
The resident scholars will serve as a resource for and collaborator with university faculty, students, and the vibrant regional science and technology community. With more than 180 affiliated faculty members, 550 data science undergraduate students and an established graduate study program, the Halıcıoğlu Data Science Institute offers a solid platform for scholars to take on challenging problems in data science and analytics.
More About the HDSI Visiting Scholar Program:
Nominations are open all year for recommendations to the interdisciplinary program. Decisions will be made quarterly. Requirements: The candidate for Visiting Scholar must be a tenured or tenure-track faculty members in her or his current institution. The candidate should have a track record in data science or related areas. Please provide a CV and a statement of no more than 3 pages outlining research interests, identify any specific courses or course topics where you may be interested in teaching at the institute and your activities that broaden participation and support institutional goals for equity and diversity.
