In June 2023, UC San Diego proudly honored Rajesh Gupta, PhD, the Founding Director of the Halıcıoğlu Data Science Institute (HDSI), with the Excellence in Stewardship Award. This award recognizes individuals who, despite their primary job responsibilities not including donor stewardship, have exhibited exceptional commitment and success in engaging and acknowledging donors and supporters. Nominated by HDSI faculty and staff, Dr. Gupta’s contributions to donor stewardship and relationship-building have been exemplary.
