Halıcıoğlu Data Science Institute (HDSI) Hosts High School Student Field Trip To Share Data-Driven Robot Art

On Friday, December 9th, HDSI hosted a field trip of 25 students, both Juniors and Seniors

from Morse High School. They were invited to present art created from their Data Science class at their school for our data-driven robotic art activity

Presentations began at 9:30 am to 10:30 am in the CSE building room 1202. Faculty, staff, and students of HDSI were encouraged to attend and see the amazing creativity of these students. They gave presentations to a group of undergraduate students, graduate students, faculty, and their peers. They also took a campus tour and heard mini-lectures from faculty from TILOS and EnCORE.

Saura Naderi, the Outreach Director, at HDSI, was responsible for the planning of the event and guiding the tours said “ it was really exciting to see the students share their work with a variety of academic professionals.”
